At its First Session of each year, the Executive
Board elects from among the representatives of
its members a Bureau, comprising a President,
Vice-President and three other members.
In accordance with Rule V of the Rules of Procedure,
the primary functions of the Bureau are to facilitate
the effective and efficient functioning of the
Board, in particular:
· the strategic planning of the work of the Board;
· the preparation and organization of Board meetings;
· the promotion of dialogue.
Each member of the Bureau is chosen from one of
the lists of States as defined in Appendix A of the General Regulations of WFP.
